LIFE STEAM experimental plant

The LIFE STEAM project develops an innovative prototype based on steam explosion technology to effectively pre-treat grass clippings and prunings before sending them to anaerobic digestion. Here, the lignocellulosic biomass is converted into advanced biofuels, to be used in the transport sector, and fertilizers for agricultural use. Pre-treatment line consisting of: dosing hopper, water separation, shredding, screening, steam reactor, separation cyclone, condenser, biofilter, steam production boiler and osmosis water production plant.

Activities: Executive design of electromechanical, civil, electrical and automation works, assistance in the construction phases, coordination of commissioning and start-up of the line.
